Heather Gurke, LCSW
As a therapist, I have been privileged to help individuals find a sense of balance, wellness and meaning in their lives.
I have worked with children, adolescents and adults of all ages in outpatient, school, hospital and residential treatment settings.
I consider myself to be a generalist practitioner with specialized training in anxiety disorders and trauma. I have worked extensively with individuals with anxiety, depression, ADHD, ASD, and PTSD. In hospital and residential treatment settings, I have worked with individuals with bipolar disorder, schizophrenia/schizoaffective disorder, and personality disorders.
I wish to bring my clients a sense of hope in relationship to navigating life, as well as empower them by helping them to find the tools they need to thrive. I believe that therapeutic change occurs when an individual feels safe and understood. I believe that everyone can benefit from therapy—whether the challenges we face in life are large or small.
If you feel as though you could benefit from therapy, I would love to connect with you.
